August Alsina Makes Comeback With New Music Titled, ‘Today’

August Alsina Today: August Alsina after a long absence has made his comeback with new music, titled ‘Today‘. The 26 year old singer has been through a lot in his career. He suffers an autoimmune disease which caused him to lose sensation in both of his legs, following a flare up in the summer.

August has also been battling complications due to a liver disease, stemming from the same autoimmune disease. In September, he told fans that he was being treated well and was in good spirits. “I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t been tough on my body. But there are necessary steps in order to make progress,’ he wrote in the Instagram post’s caption which was later deleted.

“Illness is so humbling and I often find myself singing this song of affirmation to myself everyday. So, I figured I’d share that same love, affirmation and motivation with yall, whoever may need it.”

If you remember, August is also not signed with his previous label Def Jam anymore and will be releasing music independently through distribution from EMPIRE. Today, Alsina returns to the scene with a brand new song called ‘Today’ where he sings about some of his struggles and how he is determined to make his time today count. It is set to appear on his upcoming project, expected to release top of 2020. Listen to the heartfelt song below.
